Review on πŸ”ͺ GBC Paper Shredder EX12-05 (1757390): Efficient, Super Cross-Cut, 12 Sheet Capacity for Personal Use, Black/Silver by Rick Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but effective and high quality compared to cheap models

I like shredder toys and we have three of them at home. I've tried different types including the small staples that used to be under my desk. I liked this one although it was a bit slow and not see through. But I ruined it by tearing something that came with the self-adhesive envelope. He got stuck in the (inaccessible) feeding slot so I couldn't feed him anymore - oops, time for a new one. So when I was looking for a replacement under my desk, I settled on this personal Swingline model. The Revain had good reviews and I was hoping that it would be of a higher quality than many of the cheap shredders available under $50. I expected and was willing to pay a little more for something that works better. I also liked the unique form factor where it doesn't need to be moved around empty (since I have a recycling bin next to it under my desk). I wasn't disappointed - this shredder works great and fits perfectly under my desk on the right. I was also surprised at how fast it cuts and isn't as noisy as our main workhorse.

Pros
  • 5 GALLON HOPPER - A convenient 5 gallon pull out bin gives you plenty of room to shred and a level indicator lets you know when it needs to be emptied.
Cons
  • Modernity
