It's absolutely impossible to take it apart without breaking it if you have to rewire it through the shadows, so don't try! Believe me. Buy another. I know others say you can, but you can't anymore. Maybe they copied it? I do not know. But YOU CAN'T. Update - This company has sent me two condescending messages about their product implying that I must be inexperienced and that they do not recommend disassembling the socket. First, I make money from it. Second, you can't remove the plastic plug to access the screws, hence the breakage. That's why I wrote the original review - to let people who need rewiring ability know this product isn't for them.
