The copper used in this speaker cable is high quality - soft, shiny and contains many very fine copper strands. I also liked the fact that the cable straightened slightly after unwinding from the spool (probably due to the weird rubbery material used as the outer sleeve). It is unusual for cotton to be used as a filler in speaker wire. I would have preferred a more traditional fountain pen but for the price I can't complain. Does it sound better than a cheap zip wire? I'm not sure, but it looks very impressive. If you ever decide to ditch your hi-fi, you can also use this material to make a puffy electrical wire for your arc welder! As already mentioned, this material is very thick.
