The fabric in the description is listed as heavy. It's surprisingly thin when taken out of the box, and after being washed in cold water with fabric softener it's still a bit scratchy, not at all plush like thicker, premium flannel should feel. It sheds a lot of dry lint which makes it even thinner and quite easy to see through after the first wash. One side is more scratched than the other, it doesn't appear to be "polished" on both sides. Disappointing. We bought this brand because it fits an XL twin and I can say it REALLY fits an XL, but that's really the only true feature in the description. The color hasn't faded, so that's a plus too. If you're looking for a thick, soft flannel that will last through many washes, this isn't it.
