Review on Bionaire Thin Window Fan with Comfort Control Thermostat - Holmes Group BWF0522E-BU - Black - 3 Blades by Jackie Wilson

Great feeling, great versatility. The three-engine design is fantastic.

Great fan, perfect for my needs. I love how quiet it is and that the stream has three tiers. The three stages are controlled by a mechanical switch and basically switch 1, 2 or 3 fan blades working at the same time. 1=Central Motor, 2=Two Outboard Motors, 3=All Motors This distributes the airflow and in my opinion three small fans makes less noise than two large fans in other products I have used.* Runs silently at all speeds* Designed to to be used horizontally or vertically (sliding out horizontally)* While it's certainly plastic, the case and switches feel like soft plastic, and overall the fan is well-maintained. The plastic used in this product doesn't feel "cheap" but is somewhat premium.* The 5-year warranty is much longer than other products I've reviewed. As long as the warranty is serviceable in the US, I'm happy with the durability of the purchase. Cons: * To change the direction of airflow, you need to remove the fan from the window, flip it, and reinstall it. This isn't uncommon in other products so it's hardly a disadvantage, but some products have reverse airflow switches that don't require the fan to be removed. It doesn't bother me, but it's something to think about when choosing a product.* I've read that others write in their reviews that this fan uses fuses that aren't available in the US in case they get replaced have to. I don't know if that's true, but if I had to throw this product in the trash because a fuse blew that I can't buy in my country, that would be sad. Because I really like the product and I hope it will last a long time.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Too long to wait
