So first let me say that I've tried similar projection effects devices in the past, but others used a rotating base. This little gadget takes a slightly different approach. What it does is use three lights in the center of the device with interchangeable projection strips around the edges. As the lights toggle, they hit different areas of the roadway and illuminate them (see video). If you remove the center cover, it moves from the light source to the projector and you have an extra rounded part protruding at the top. So if you want to make "Happy Birthday" or "Underwater", you can switch it in a few seconds. It also has a few extra themes (6 in total I think). Finally, you can set up the effects to use just one of the lights, or you can use multiple lights and even make it blink. This will be a good gift for a child, and we adults can also enjoy it.
