I have replaced several ceiling fans and most of them require several people to remove/install as they are quite heavy and bulky. It was a nice surprise - so easy! Not to say it feels cheap, but it's a lot easier to install as the weight wasn't an issue when trying to plug it in. Since my ceiling (probably like most houses) is white, this ceiling fan looks beautiful and almost disappears from the ceiling. Well, maybe not exactly, but if you look at the dark wood ceiling fan, which is a dark spot on the white ceiling, that fan kind of disappears into it. Now it's not as big as a traditional ceiling fan, but it seems to provide decent air movement. I also like the light fixture, which is not bare bulbs, not protected by lampshades like most ceiling fans. This is a ring around the fan on the outside and is fully enclosed so the light is softer and can be dimmed naturally. I placed this in my guest bedroom as I only had a cheap fixture and am very happy with the look and the air movement it allows in the small bedroom.
