These are perfect for raw meat dishes that I prepare ahead of time my dogs and cats. They allow the mixture to freeze quickly and stack efficiently in the freezer. If necessary, they defrost quickly and evenly. I get frozen ground beef/bones/organs and chicken/bones/organs from Hare Today Farms. I also get extra shredded organs to ensure complete nutrition. They come in frozen rolls. I thaw them, then mix the extra offal into the meat using a large stainless steel bowl. I use 5# beef per 1# organs for dogs and 4# chicken per 1# organs for cats. Then I freeze the mixtures. I defrost as needed for consumption within a week. I used plastic containers but wasn't sure if I could wash them out completely. Glass is the answer. Each of them keeps food for several days.
