This camera is no match for my Canon G11 - but I didn't pay $600 for it at the time. However, it has more features than the average user can ever use or understand and takes excellent pictures. Make sure to use your fingernail or the rubber band (included with the strap) instead of your finger to navigate the touchscreen, as the touchscreen is quite sensitive and can be annoying if you don't realize it beforehand. I captured sharp shots of subjects I could barely see with the naked eye in a dark room, so this camera easily handles the tricky low-light situations we all face on vacation. If you wanted a camera with better features than this camera then you are probably an advanced user like me and need not be advised that you need to upgrade to SC or DSLR. As a compact holiday camera it's hard to see what could be better at this price point with today's technology and it certainly beats a bloody camera phone.
