Review on iRobot Authentic Replacement Parts: Roomba Integrated Dock Charger with North American Line Cord - 4452369, Black - Compatible with Roomba 500/600/700/800/900 Series Robots by Rui Hanson

I am very disappointed with this product. My Roomba keeps throwing Error #5 (Charger not delivering at least 1.25 amps for more than 30 minutes straight). The wall charger works perfectly. I cleaned all the contacts as suggested in the Roomba manual, nada. I then connected my multimeter, set it to ammeter mode, in series with the charging station, and GUESS WHAT! It appears to be drawing around 1.1 amps, and this causes Roomba's built-in safety system to shut off charging 30 minutes after it's turned on. ALSO the IR system seems REALLY weak and my Roomba can't see it above a foot and a half (at best). .I strongly recommend NOT buying this unless you are going to rip it apart and update like me. Minus 4 stars because I'm SHIT, and +1 star because I'm a semi-decent base for hacking and upgrading; I only bought for spares, otherwise I would have asked for the money back.
