It took a little getting used to but now I love it and use it several times a day! I work on a farm and I'm on my feet all day. It definitely speaks of pain! I can't close my boots all the way because I have big calves but that doesn't interfere with their work and they still massage all my calves. I use it after my shift at work and then again before bed. You need time to get used to it! I almost considered returning it in the first week of use because it was painful to use as my feet were sensitive, but after using it on the lowest settings for 2 weeks I got used to it and was able to start increasing the pressure. The adjustment period is worth it
