Review on 🔧 Delta Faucet RP77739 Repair Kit: Effortless Fix for Faucet Troubles by Timothy Barnes

I bought this because a 20 year old bathroom faucet had had its seals failed and I needed to either try to fix it or replace the whole faucet with a new one. I already disassembled the blender so I decided to fix it. The faucet kit arrived quickly and I started installing it that same evening. I thought that I might have to search the internet for instructions, but found that the instruction manual was printed on the box along with the label. I looked at the parts and wondered for a moment if I had ordered the correct kit, but the instructions mentioned that the design of the part had changed. They also pointed out removing the adjustment ring, which should keep enough pressure on the seals to keep them from leaking. I replaced the two small rubber grommets for the consumables and their springs after cleaning the connectors with a soft cloth. The stem of the new ball went through the shim assembly and it all entered the faucet stem. I removed the unnecessary adjustment ring from the barrel cap and then tightened the barrel cap. I cranked the crank halfway up and slowly turned on the supply lines one at a time, checking for leaks where they shouldn't be, then moved the crank to the closed position and made sure there was no flow. The whole thing took about 30 minutes and I was slow making sure I read the instructions because I was changing parts. I think next time it will take me about twenty minutes to go back from starting disassembly to assembling the decorative handle cover. The newly renovated faucet handle moves more freely but does not leak. This is a case where a recently redesigned solution worked brilliantly. It's easier to assemble, requires fewer adjustments, and works better than the original. Congratulations to the product designers.
