Hidden behind the panel on the back of the glove box is a screw that holds the filter cover in place. You can pull the plastic panel forward and struggle to extract and reinsert the screw in a very small work area and risk dropping the screw into the underside of the dash. I simply cut an au hole in the panel with a razor to PERMANENTLY expose the screw and it only took me 5 minutes to change the filter. You'll never see the notch since the glove box hides the trim, and NO ONE will ever know what you did to make the job that much easier.
