My aquarium is less than a year old and my aquarium is very small. We had a big algae influx a few months ago and the water was getting really bad so I really had to clean the tank and restart. Even after this change, the algae came back quickly despite weekly water changes and not only grew on the glass, but also on the filter. I ordered these bacteria hoping they would help with the algae and they seem to be working. The algae won't come back anytime soon. Since this is the only thing I changed in this process, I assume it works.
