I have a recessed door that, if opened too quickly, can cause the door to hit the frame. I decided to use two bumpers -- one on the door and one on the frame -- in such a way that they "bump onto" each other. This keeps the door from getting damaged. I can see many uses for these because they are bigger than the regular bumpers and significanly smaller than the typical door knob bumper. They can serve as more effective noise dampers for applications such as the lid on the kitchen garbage bin, as bumpers to keep furniture from hitting walls, or as non-slip feet for items such as a scanner or a printer. I can't tell how good the adhesion will be in the long run since I only just received these. I will have to report back at a later date.
