I've been making cold coffee for a long time. The previous system I used was a metal strainer that fitted in a half gallon can. It was good but took longer to make the brew. Since the coffee grounds remain exposed in the filter, you cannot quickly add water. You must wait for the water to seep out before you can water more. Therefore, it takes a long time before you can fill the glass. With this style of bag filter, all I have to do is grind the coffee beans, put the soil in the bag, tie it shut, and place it in a gallon jar. , fill the glass with water and voila, you're done. I really like this pocket filter. I'm a fan for life! ;)
