Review on Polyester Embroidery Machine Thread Vibrant by Carrie Spencer

I am reviewing the Jewel color set. First, let me tell you a little about myself: I'm new to the world of embroidery. . I just bought a Singer Futura XL-420 on Black Friday with 40% off Singer sewing and embroidery machines. As a beginner to embroidery, I knew I would make mistakes when creating my first projects and fiddling with designs in my embroidery software. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an expensive thread just to abandon the project. When I saw this thread set at Revain I bought it because the price was good, the colors were nice and the 40 spools per pack gave me enough variety to really try out my new machine. We tested the threads at different speeds with different density constructions. For the fabric I used muslin and felt. I have always used a 75 gauge needle. Pros: The threads feel incredibly soft and silky. The colors are great! Even on the muslin fabric I tested the machine on, the colors really pop and are just stunning. They shine in the light. Overall the finished product looks great and I didn't feel like throwing away any of the test projects. Cons: The threads feel incredibly soft and silky. This causes easy slipping off the bobbin and wear when using my machine's built-in needle threader if it doesn't pick up thread properly. Even when using the spool net and spool cap, if you do not put on the spool cap as firmly as possible without interfering with the thread while sewing, the thread will slip and get wrapped around the spool holder, causing the needle to break. I have two left of the pack of five needles I bought. I broke two within the first few hours. Third, when I was embroidering a design that was unintentionally dense from fiddling with my embroidery software. However, once I figured out how to avoid broken needles, the number of broken needles dropped dramatically. Threads often break in dense patterns, although some colors seem more prone to this than others. I don't know if the paint used for certain colors makes them weaker than the others or what. I just know, that one color in particular broke the thread so badly that I seriously considered just scrapping the design before it was finished. Just so I can use a different colored yarn. With some spools it can be very difficult to find the end of the line. Dark colors are a particularly big nightmare unless you're in a very well-lit room. After use, the ends of the threads have no place to tuck away. You'll either have to cut a slit at the bottom of the cone or use a floss net, or you'll end up with soft, silky floss all over. The coils themselves are tiny. You will definitely want to use bobbinfil to stretch what you have. In addition, you can forget that you know the color number, if you don't write them by hand somewhere on the spool with a marker. You cannot completely remove the small sticker at the end to stick it elsewhere as it separates into four pieces once the spool is placed on the spool holder for the first time. All in all, would I buy this product again? Actually I would. For me, the price, the variety of colors and how beautiful the thread looks after embroidery justify the headache.
