I have nothing bad to say about it. I'm size 30 and it fits perfectly. The belt is NOT REQUIRED, but the belt is ok too. They just have a little elastic around the waist to keep them in place and I don't know why every pair of pants doesn't have that. They're definitely waterproof to some extent, but standing in sustained rain or spray will get a little wet. But they are still mainly advertised as ski pants. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and very warm with a fleece lining, but when it's around 70 degrees outside and the sun is shining, they don't overheat. It's great because they can be worn 3 seasons out of 4 (I live in Texas). I liked them so much after many washes that I asked my boss to buy me 2 more pairs and one pair for myself. We're both quite skinny so I can't comment on how this would fit a taller man, but I'd recommend taking a risk.
