***Update Review*** One of the covers is already broken and I haven't had it for a month. Very disappointed. Upgrade to a 2 star rating. Checking the first impression. Haven't used them yet, just took them out of the box to check for damage etc. For now I am very happy with this purchase. They were packed very securely in a lined box and the children were wrapped twice in plastic for protection. There is a cut-out in the lid where the rubber seal is so it can be easily removed and replaced for cleaning. I used to have a set like this and in my experience I always hand washed the gaskets and put the lids in the dishwasher. If you don't run the dishwasher without heat to dry, the heat can wear down the seals. I carefully checked every detail for cracks or sharp edges. Each edge is smooth and finished. I will update my review after washing and using it. So far, so good.
