I have had two Apple TV remotes over the years and got this case for my 4th gen. Model. Even though I have an Apple wristband (and it was clipped to my top shelf), I always have the remote hanging or lying on my bed and damage it. When I sat at the computer for a long time, I started to feel the Apple Remote dig into my palm. This solved all the above problems, it's clearly visible (and even picks up some "glow" from my HDTV, it lies well in hand, the strap/charger slot is the right size, the buttons work great) , and the IR sensor is out of the way. The only minor downside to this silicone case is that it covers the edges of the touchpad a bit, which takes a bit of getting used to. ) and the raised tabs on the back ensure a good grip. I'm very glad I found this, apart from the minor inconvenience of minimizing the surface hit awns, it's a blessing.
