I got a tattoo on my left, inside arm close to the elbow crease and a small lighting bolt on the right inside wrist. I put the cream on an hour before my appointment (after washing hands and arms!) and wrapped my arms in plastic wrap as most have mentioned. When the artist started with the larger tattoo on my left arm the outlining was dulled tremendously and some parts I couldn’t feel. However it didn’t last and I could feel the normal pain once the outline was complete and moved onto shading. HOWEVER while I was getting this done the right arm was still wrapped up. So when he started the wrist tattoo I could barely feel anything but some pressure. So does this work? Yeah! Well it did for me. I recommend putting it on 1.5-2 hours before your appointment. Both tats were relatively small so I can’t comment on larger ones that take more than an hour. It made my appointment go super quick.I only wish I had bought the small amount. But I’m going to use this for waxing and see if it works too! Totally recommend. It might take some tweaking for your needs. I was super scared and anxious about the pain and this made it tolerable and I relaxed tremendously.
