Review on πŸ” Enhance Performance and Protection with ACDelco TP3018 Professional Filter Seals by Shawn Pollock

Please pack it!: Fuel filter

I have bought AC Delco TP3018 fuel filter many times and this is the worst I have ever seen. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought someone could paint the rattles in the backyard and resell them. First, this filter isn't sealed in plastic like it used to be, so who knows what's inside. The paint on the outside is terrible. These are chips with a bad texture. I would say it's a very different filter than what I'm used to. I'm not even sure if it's the right filter. I will most likely not use these filters because of the crappy quality. Unfortunately, these filters have terrible quality control. Even the box is cheap. The boxes were never big, but at least the filter was sealed in plastic so contaminants couldn't get inside. I can't say enough about how awful these filters are. I've read a lot of reviews about them leaking and I don't doubt it. If I just look at them and pull them out of the box, they won't fit on my truck. UPDATE: I had to install this filter on my truck and I will say it seals well, no leaks so far! I don't like that it isn't packaged in individual plastic wrappers. What I like is that you can push the top o-ring into the groove so it doesn't fall out during installation. The older TP-3018 had a wider groove for the top o-ring and this o-ring could fall out if the filter was turned upside down or tilted to one side. Then the ring is pushed in, it doesn't move. GM puts them on their cars and backs their warranty, so I'll keep using this new design filter until I see something I really don't like. I'm changing that to four stars and deducting one star for the packaging.
