Very good sun protection, I love the chinstrap, I love that you can adjust to your size since I have a very small head. The only real problem for me is that I had purchased a siggi hat like this one in the Navy years ago, and it was the same material but for some reason the old hat feels a bit softer. Not sure if they just changed their manufacturing process since that was two years ago when I bought the old one. But I get tons of compliments on my hat and I think that it's very flattering for most people. It covers a wide range including your neck your ears and the sides of your face. For me it's really important that the back of the hat is floppy because I cannot stand a hat that's too firm in the back or I can't sit comfortably against something, so this has perfect for being able to lean back against the car seat, a chair, etc. The only other comment I'll make is that the beige hat came in and it's definitely khaki, however, it's cute so I'll end up keeping it.
