I was very disappointed with these needles. Punch a hole in the fabric. They are also not very strong and bend easily.The last time I bought flat head needles was about 15 years ago and I can't remember what brand they are.Many of them are still good except damaged by being hit with a sewing machine needle or on heavy ones Materials such as outdoor canvas were used.I bought them and paid more than some other brands because the Fons & Porter name thought they would come out with a better item but soon I was.After using these needles I threw them away Idea I have been sewing for over 50 years and have been quilting for almost 20 years and I have never seen pins of lower quality than these.
