We installed this fan in our bedroom and chose it for 3 reasons: looks, DC motor and remote control for a 6 speed fan whose lowest speed is very slow - and it is. Since this is our bedroom, we don't want to be blown away when we sleep. Sleeping with these regular three-speed fans is uncomfortable as even the slowest setting is usually too high. Because of this, I had to remove the previous fan after a few days. This fan is absolutely silent, there is no noise from the motor at all, just wind from the blades at higher settings, which is normal. Optics, for us this fan looks phenomenal, all high quality. Before the installation, we had a question for the Del Mar Fans and Lighting salesman and he helped us right away. This seller and ceiling fan get the highest recommendation.
