Not durable at all. I need sharp pencils for finishing woodwork and projects, I use Misubishi pencils and have switched from my old Bostich to this sharpener which was sharpened a bit off center - hopefully to get a nice long point. The problem is that the motor has no torque. When inserted, the pins jam immediately and must be raised and lowered several times to free the jam and sharpen. I use the shortest setting, but due to the nature of the sharpener and having to plug and unplug the pencil multiple times, it will inevitably unwind to the longest setting, causing more jams both up and down. grrr. Also, it's USB powered, I left it plugged in the whole time because I wasn't moving it and it used to be "dead" and I had to unplug and "reboot" to plug it back in and waiting for a load. high. I'm looking for something else, too much trouble. "Heavy Duty" in the product description is misleading.
