. I was a little hesitant to order these for my 1987 Lincoln Mark VII because although it's considered a fox body it has a lot of parts that are exclusive to this car, including other Lincolns. At first my fears seemed to be confirmed as the strikers were different from the original ones. Mark VII strikers have a thinner rectangular door stop (Fig. 1) and they have it slightly wider and longer on the side of the door frame. After installation, however, they worked perfectly, only one had to be readjusted because it was stuck. Now the door closes properly with no rattles, or at least less rattles (Ford, after all).
