Review on Cuisinart WAF 150: A Delectable 4 Slice Belgian Waffle Maker by Shawn Quick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

More than I expected, yet powerful.

If you are looking for a workhorse waffle maker then this is it. Get ready, it's HUGE. This means I have to make double batches of batter to get one batch of waffles. The grooves hold about two cups of batter for EACH "pan" or whatever (one pan equals four waffles). The waffles are really thick. If you love it, that's great. If you prefer thinner ones, this waffle maker may be too hard for you. The temperature is great. My only real complaint is that like my last Cuisinart waffle maker, which I also loved, there is no beep when the waffles are done so you have to hover over the waffle maker to wait for the green light. This is a bit annoying as the waffles can take a few minutes to cook (see above: they are very thick). I'd rather be able to walk around the kitchen (or at least the kitchen), which you can't do unless you want those things to burn. For some reason, Cuisinart hasn't added this feature (a single beep) to any of their models. This would be easy to do and would have an enormous positive effect.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
