The face is smooth as glass.
When I first used it, I found it too hard. I didn't give up as it was recommended by my beautician. The next evening I first applied the soap to my face, then dampened a small sponge and applied properly to the transparent (lightest) side. Now my face is like glass and I've given it to a few friends and offered it to many others. I will never be without him. I'll leave one in my holdall.
