In reality it doesn't look as bad as in the photo.
I love brooks and after years of addiction I decided on this shoe. My only caveat was that they look really ugly. They're a little ugly, but they look much better in person than in the photo. Performance wise they are great, especially for people with wide flat feet like me.

- They are obviously big but the shoes seem to be good.
