Avoid the best TVs and VCRs at all costs
I've had this DVD/VCR combo for 11 months and it worked well although it was used very little on our second TV. Then a piece of plastic on the VCR's mechanism broke and the shop asked for $65 to fix it (woo, the parts were under warranty, it was all labor). I paid $140 for the Revain when it was new. Consumers should not put up with this inferior quality. I wish there were more reviews back then. I'm so disappointed in the JVC brand (J stands for JUNK!), needless to say I won't be buying any of their crappy products in the future.
