So everyone understands, that's a volume control and nothing more. It doesn't connect, they don't have an active circuit. I have it between the DAC and the power amp to control the volume coming from my Toslink Digital TV to the Parasound ZDAC, then to that controller, then the Parasound ZAMP to the passive speakers. The sound does not change in my ears in any way, no coloring. For 50-year-olds it is worth being able to control the volume via the digital output.
