The fan itself works fine. I mounted it on the wall because the wall is so close it makes more noise than a pedestal fan due to the airflow. I also think that this way does not adjust enough airflow. But the fan itself works great. It's noisy, but it's in my shop, not at home, so I don't care. I have a problem with the cable. As others have complained the chain is cheap, broke in a dozen moves. I was able to reconnect it, but if it breaks again I'll have to replace the entire switch. I just leave it on high and turn off the fan, I don't really care. But for the price there has to be a better pull chain for sure so I'm a bit disappointed.
