Review on ๐Ÿฅ” Anpro Stainless Steel Potato Ricer Masher - Fruit and Vegetable Food Press Strainer - Potato Mashers Ricers by Karen Murray

not impressed Potato Masher & Ricer

Bought this because my old 1960's rice cooker was starting to wear out; said item was made from a stainless steel basket/press and the rest was painted metal that had started to peel. I thought buying stainless steel would be a good option. As a retired sheet metal worker, I know that stainless steel is very durable and easy to clean, which was a win-win for me. At least that's what I thought. On the first push, the block broke at the point of attachment. I've never seen stainless steel break like this in a homestead, or any metal other than pot metals. This hinge is different from my old unit which has a small metal strip that attaches the hinge to the bucket. I don't know if the range given was claimed during manufacture or if it was an alloy. What I do know for sure is that I am completely disappointed and not the least bit impressed with the performance or durability of this item. I'm just glad I kept my old Ricer while waiting for it to arrive, otherwise I wouldn't have had the good fortune to finish what I started. At least now I know what to look for and what not to look for when looking for a new draftsman. I would just like to add that the company that sold it to me was great at getting my money back and I didn't have to return the broken item which made it very easy for me. I of course sent pictures of my original request so they can see how it broke.
