My kids love this product because they can punch holes anywhere so they are made for it. what you're cutting, which I wasn't sure about when I bought it. - good range of sizes - price is right. Cons: - doesn't handle thick paper well. Tried regular 60lb card stock and some of the punches were able to cut well while others tore apart a bit compared to cutting. - Multiple sheets cannot be cut at the same time. - If there is a way to sharpen them I don't know how, making long-term use unlikely - cuts plain laminated paper very poorly. I'll say it will cut through some areas of laminated paper just fine, but you should use it more as a guide and cut with scissors. Something defeats the purpose but gives you a guide. Generally if you need them for basic paper cutting, maybe scrapbooking or kids projects they might be fine, but not for heavy cuts.
