good idea but too strong and heavy. I got rid of the pen and ballpoint pen and screwed a cardboard holder onto the cut end of the broom handle so I had an internal thread. I then screwed it onto a plastic universal swivel. So I can still adjust with the swivel joint and hold the box. I also cut a lot of the plastic off the holder as it's too strong to just hold a piece of cardboard. It worked great. The holder's pliers bend the box as it's pushed all the way in, preventing the straight edge from being obscured. I was just careful not to move it all the way.
