for $60 I'm so glad this thing works. I LOVE that the product comes in such a range of sizes. was able to pick exactly the one that suits my weird needs: I like to skate and warm up before skating with a spinner that can only be used on a flat, smooth and a bit hard and shiny ground. Well, thanks to COVID, the warm up at the ice rink has to be outside. The sidewalks and tarmac are too rough and uneven, and a simple piece of sheet metal or linoleum (impossible to find) isn't enough of a buffer against all the clutter on the floor. However, this is a table top. PERFECT. I just left the styrofoam around the perimeter that came in the packaging and occasionally tucked a yoga mat under one side to even out the slope of the floor. I can do this thing, yes it's heavy (my 36" wheel is 30lbs), right off the back floor of my tiny car, across the parking lot, over curbs, etc. roll wherever I want. The surface provides the perfect friction, or no friction, for a lure, yet shows no signs of wear from spinning (the lure is plastic, which feels good and is dense, ie has some weight, has a slightly more pliable texture than a table top, does not translucent but sort of translucent, same gummyness, almost like it might have some silicone or something in it. Hard to describe, sorry.) If one side of the countertop is completely scratched by the spinner, if anything happens, I can turning it the other side, so $60 could make a world of difference. The point is, if this countertop can withstand my rotation, it probably will withstand the slamming of beer mugs too. or even Tom Jones Also note that the trim around the perimeter (which I protect with foam to roll) seems very neat, clean and securely attached. Basically, the item is well made.
