This is a good weight knife, similar to my Wusthof Icon chef's knife, heavier than similar Victorinox and Mercer knives. The grip was comfortable for my hand. It arrived with burrs on the right side of the blade, trying to cut tomatoes, peppers and onions, and paper dough. It shrunk as expected. It didn't work right away and doesn't come close to the quality of Mercer or Victorinox chef's knives. I believe that after sharpening and polishing it will be a good inexpensive knife. Because of the reputation and price of the commercial cutlery, I have no regrets buying it.
