Update 28th February 2020 β Having gone through the process of changing from 120mm wheel on my 2080 ti hybrid to 480mm wheel I now have 19 of them in my case fans work hard and the airflow is still great are not static optimized fans. With these 480mm wheel fans, the GPU is now 25Β° cooler under load. They are still quiet and generate significant airflow. I would really like to see EZDIY-FAB redesign the fan blades to meet static pressure specs. Updated 12/13/2019. I now have 16 EZDIY-FAB Moonlight fans installed on my computer and the light show is amazing. And, to be perfectly honest, it's overkill, but while I know it's getting old, it's nice to know that I can change the color and effects to suit my ever-changing theme (and mood ) to adjust. I now have 3 bottom intake fans, 2 front intakes, 2 side intakes, 1 rear exhaust, 2 push pull fans on a 120mm radiator coming out the back for my 2080 Ti Hybrid. , and 6 in push/pull on a 360mm cooler up for my 9900K. Admittedly I was a bit skeptical about using them on my heatsinks, but they actually turned out to be very good and very quiet even at high speeds. I can still feel the air rushing through the grille of my Phanteks Enthoo Primo case. My 2080 ti's temperatures are maintained well at 40-50C under full load and my 9900K is overclocked to 5.0GHz with a ring factor of 4.7GHz with the memory controller and RAM overclocked to +400MHz and the CPU overclocked . is still around 86Β°C at full load, which is still very decent for an overclocked 9900K. However, I am not very happy with the bushing composition and chose not to use the ones that came with the kit. I bought two third party hubs here at Revain and they seem to be working great! All 16 fans sync very well with my motherboard. I hope that in the future EZDIY-FAB will release an updated hub with the same or similar quality as the ones I bought. I couldn't use a splitter (whether 8-way or 2-way) with a hub, plus the hub only supports 5 fans natively. For these reasons I gave the whole package 4 stars. Another thing I wanted to mention is the wires on the fans for power and LEDs. They are flimsy and almost fragile at first glance, but they work well and are strong. All in all, this is a great brand and we'll look into their other offerings in the future. same behavior as they don't sync properly with my MSI Z390 Godlike motherboard, at least with so many fans on the splitter. I tried connecting them all together in different ways and the lighting was, to say the least, uncontrollably bizarre. I also noticed that when cycling through the rainbow effect, the fans "black out" for a few seconds and then come back and cycle through the color spectrum again. I'm not sure if it's the hub, the fans, or my board, but I'm leaning towards the fan/board combo more and more. However, the fans work great with other effect settings and look nice. I ended up using a third-party hub with enough connectors to allow me to plug each ARGB cable from the fans into its own connector on the hub. Now all 10 fans work fine and cool my computer well. Just today I installed 2 on the heatsink of my 2080 TI hybrid graphics card and they keep the card cool during gaming sessions so that's cool. I'm removing a star because both hubs are useless to me in their current state and I wish I could get the effects and features I want from a 3rd party hub but not a fan provided hub. I'm also a bit frustrated that the LEDs go out during the rainbow cycle as it should. However, I think the fans are great and I still highly recommend them for their sparkling coolness and performance. The first review is below: So I did the math and to completely rebuild my rig I would have had to spend over $750 using Corsair fully just for the lighting in my custom PC. Of course I could do that over time, for a very, very long time, but it would end up being more of a headache because so often I have to remove everything, install new parts, reroute the cables and then test everything. hoping that everything always worked out for me when I wanted to make changes or add something new. So I took a long look around instead. Of course, I considered the Corsair and Thermaltake brands, as well as a few other brands like UpHere, EZDIY-FAB, and AsiaHorse. The mainstream brands had the features I wanted but at a premium I really didn't want to pay, and the non-brands didn't always understand what they were offering, so there were concerns about new buyers' regret when I pulled the trigger too soon. The more I looked into EZDIY-FAB's offerings, the more I liked them, and finally settled on the EZDIY-FAB Moonlight RGB PWM 120mm Case Fan with RGB PWM Fan Hub. The box is very simplistic and leaves a lot to be desired and at first it was an instant turn off, but then I remember the days when AMD didn't advertise their products much and the savings went back to the customers. So I brushed it off and replaced with concern that the box was smeared with whitish powder (oh click) or maybe it was dust? However, I opened the box because I chose to believe that there is nothing to worry about anthrax, right? The fans didn't strike me as great right away. They looked easy and very simple until I got one. They are heavier compared to my previously installed Corsair SP120 and upon closer inspection they felt very solid and seemed very well built. The box had everything to get all 5 fans working: - all 5 fans, of course - a fan hub - 5 sets of screws - an adapter cable for Gigabyte boards - a PWM cable for the hub - a user manual I pitted against the Decided to use a hub because I didn't want to install two (I bought a total of 10 fans, cost two packs and will be ordering a third one soon) extra boxes in my system with extra SATA cables for each. So I decided to take a different approach and bought two 8:1 ARGB splitter cables. I tested two fans before deciding to use them on my PC and was amazed by the colors. I've already asked questions (lots of questions) about the various attributes of fans, one of which is "How many LEDs do they use?". I was told 16, the same number Corsair fans use. Good. I proceeded with the installation and installed all 5 fans. I cheated a bit with the installation because again I didn't want to use a hub so I bought an 8:1 cable and then some 4 pin LED adapters because the cables ended in jacks. I pulled out the 3rd pin from all 20 adapters with pliers and plugged each into the ends of the cable and then into each of the fans. I ended up plugging the cable into the JRainbow1 connector and didn't even bother to reroute the cable just in case I had to take everything out again. I put everything back together and hit the power button on my system and this symphony of colors lit up like a Christmas tree. It was beautiful and I was happy. My positives about this product are as follows: 1. This is a reliable product. The fans and hub are of good build quality, but time will tell. 2. The fans use a standard PWM cable for use with any motherboard PWM header, and you're not locked into a proprietary cable or six-pin setup that only works with the included hub. 3. Colors are bright and vibrant, and at least with MSI's Mystic Light software, there are multiple effects to choose from. You can see they shine with rainbow colors the most. 4. The light ring is visible on both sides of the fan, so the ring is still visible whether you use it as an intake or exhaust. 5. Fans move a decent amount of air. The fans hit or exceed 1600 rpm at full power and it's only at 1000 rpm that you feel the air hitting your hand. EZDIY-FAB says they're rated at 37.5 cfm, which honestly isn't great. 6. At full speed, the fans are very quiet. My only downside has to be the CFM rating. I really wish they pushed more air through, but they do the job. I'm curious how they would work on a heatsink as I have a 360mm wheel on top of my case for my CPU and a 120mm wheel on my hybrid graphics card. I'll find out soon enough as I have 5 more of these fans in the box. At the moment I am very satisfied. I guess I'll play around with my bios fan profiles and see what I get.
