I hate when a product smells so bad it can't be kept at home. It has a terrible chemical smell. But I wanted to replace my old Altra Lone Peak waterproof high-top shoes (which never smelled), so I persevered. Unfortunately, size 11 only fits my narrower left foot. On the right, larger foot, the boot breaks in the wrong place, injuring the leg. My old Altra Lone Peaks were 10.5 and much more comfortable. I thought they might be a bit small so this time I ordered 11. To solve the foot problem, I replaced the insoles with a pair from another Altra. The old insoles are much better quality than the new ones on the waterproof Lone Peak High Tops. I'll try again tomorrow with new insoles, but they're in the laundromat right now so they can step on the gas. Even if you walk past an empty crate, the stench will make you cringe if you don't like chemical smells. What is it with them that they send such a toxic smelling product into people's homes and let them wear it on their feet?
