I tried these shoes for the first time in my Krav Maga class last night. I have never been a wrestler and have been involved with Krav for about 4 months now. Therefore, I have never worn this type of shoes. I go to class barefoot but keep hurting my big and little toes while standing, posing etc. The shoes seem to give me the protection I need. They are very flexible but offer enough protection for my toes. The price is right too. Very inexpensive. I looked at other martial arts shoes but settled on these partly because of the price and partly because I thought they would protect my ankles a little better. Now, luckily, I've read the sizing reviews. ORDER MORE FULL SIZE. I wear 11 regular Nikes. I ordered 12 in these shoes and they are comfortable. The width seems good to me, so I think that you can get by with your usual width size. In length, however, you should not just increase the size by 1/2. Go full size. You will not regret it. If you choose size 1/2 or true to size, send the shoes back.
