Review on Rowenta ZD110 Stainless Steel Soleplate Cleaner Kit: πŸ’Ž Non-Toxic Solution with Cleaning & Polishing Cloth for Steam Irons by Wayne Flores

Great Product - 100% Satisfied

Rowenta ZD-110 Soleplate Cleaner really helped me with my extremely dirty iron. Before ordering this product we tried pretty much everything we had around the house including gasoline which usually works for most things but has failed lately (maybe it's the ethanol in it). In any case, it took several cycles of squeezing small drops of the product onto the white towel inside the package, ironing over it in a circular motion, and squeezing another drop onto a different part of the towel. Every time I twirled the iron to see the results, they got better and better. After all, it was more a question of correctly aiming the dirty piece of iron at the drop. Total time can be 15 minutes. And thanks to another reviewer for suggesting using a kitchen mitt when using a green towel for final cleaning. Remember to completely drain the water from the iron. We have an iron with a separate stand for the steamer and even after emptying the tank it took a while for the water to drain from the 'hoses' by pressing the steamer button. Even if the price seems high for such a small tube, it is worth it compared to buying a new iron. (By the way, this ZD-110 is supposed to be the toxic version - I specifically ordered it, not the one advertised as non-toxic because I believe some of those non-toxic substitutes just don't work).

Pros
  • Simple; Regular cleaning keeps the soleplate in its original condition and protects your iron.
Cons
  • Some problems
