For many years I had a dirty old power strip in my living room with loose connections which made the plugs fall out easily. Lately I've gotten tired of constantly checking and re-plugging, especially since I've been staying at home all the time due to the new coronavirus-related restrictions. I spend a lot more time in the living room for meetings, shows, live streams, meditation, yoga, dancing, etc. In the past few months I've upgraded to a new HP Chromebook and a new Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. . As self-isolation continued, I ordered some speakers and headphones/earbuds. I decided I should buy a surge protector to protect my investment. Unlike my flimsy, dirty old power strip, my new black Bototek surge protector has a stylish design with rounded curves. It looks durable and well built. The two-meter power cord comes in handy when I need to extend the length for a vacuum cleaner, for example. I chose this model because it has four USB-A and four AC ports. A socket is separated from each other and offers additional space for a large plug. Sometimes it would be nice to have more outlets, but I knew what I was getting myself into. The only thing I wish was that the USB-A ports didn't support fast charging for, say, my Samsung Galaxy. C8. This is normal: I circumvent this by using my wireless charger's fast charging or my charging station's PD port. In fact, as many as 17 of the five available USB ports on the Toshiba Chromebook, Bugani Boombox, and HP Chromebook may be connected to the cradle. But let's not exaggerate now.
