Review on Autel Robotics EVO II Pro 6K Drone Camera: Ultimate 🚁 Portable Aircraft for Incredibly Smooth 6K Ultra HD Video and 20MP Photos by Ben Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredible flight and pro features in a rugged and reliable UAV.

So I'm happy with this plane. This is a very nimble, powerful and durable unit. I love DJI Pro-Line drones, but there's something that speaks for more weight while still remaining calm and stable in windy conditions, and the Evo II just slices through those conditions like nothing can weigh it down. The anti-roll bar is incredibly smooth, even on fast turns and stops. This drone and its flight controls have so many features, but perhaps some of the most notable features are the lack of geo-blocking, the insane amount of collision/proximity sensors, and its manual flight control capabilities (and some people have complained about the lack of safety features. Bah! training wheels ! Let them break! I say!). Seriously, it's great to fly and I'm glad the focus is on flight and handling rather than the useless automatic camera and tracking functions (although they are). This drone and its 6k sensor make for an insane camera, an aircraft-mounted system that rivals some very expensive production-level drones (if they get into the right hands). You get a lot for your money here, but with the Autel Evo II it takes a little longer to learn, research and find workarounds since the consumer-level user base isn't as large. DJI has more variety for drones. , third-party accessories and other software training handlebar features, however, the Autel has been customized for personal, commercial, industrial, rescue and emergency uses/roles, making it a more serious professional commercial pilot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any manufacturer. Just do a LOT of research on the drones you "want to fly" and the drones you are interested in. If you are considering professional-level drones, visit Autel, DJI, Parrot, etc. website or provide industry-leading innovative drone technology. Generic and cheap build brands are NOT the way to go (you hobble back to a proper drone in the long run, saving yourself some pain and money). Some things to watch out for. No Google FPVs are native to EVO II's 2.4GHz transmission. Your best bet is to get a live deck and cash it out for points. Getting a cheap phone VR goggles or better, getting a Viper FX and popping your phone in there to stream live video from the controller was less than optimal. Yes! The camera is good and takes good pictures even in low light. You need your phone to access camera settings and make changes like aperture. Autel offers some accessories like rotor and battery monitors. I strongly recommend protection (just a no-brainer) and extra batteries just in case. Get a hard case. Protect your plane! Soft cases are good for soft landings and you never know!

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • There are problems
