We'd tried another stool that we liked the looks better

We bought 8 of these for out outdoor living area. We'd tried another stool that we liked the looks better, but had a flat bottom and wasn't very comfortable to sit on. These have a curved bottom that are much more comfortable to sit on. Though these aren't meant for outside, since we've a covered area with 1 1/2/ walls open, I'm hoping these do well, in a partially indoor area. They're made with Acadia wood which is supposed to good for building outdoor furniture. Again, not that these chairs themselves are meant for outdoors (I don't expect these ever to get wet), but since it will be exposed to critters, I'm hoping it'll keep insect damage away. Oh, and the Acadia I think is what keeps the price low on this chair.Note, my wife did get a splinter. The wire-brush finish does make this more likely.Assembly could be tedious. I'd actually bought a 90 degree extension for my drill from the reading I did from others. I didn't end up using it, as I could get drill in just fine. What's really necessary is to have a long socket extension so you can get the allen wrench as near as parallel as you can with the fastener. I ended up piecing things together with my driver set, but if you buy 2 chairs, I would consider cutting 1 of the 2 wrenches so you could chuck it and use your drill/driver. I could see where doing all these by hand could get tedious.

Pros
  • Game & Recreation Room Furniture
Cons
  • The stools are not suitable for outdoor use
