My aunt was having oil burning issues, a quart a week in a Honda engine that was neglected from regular servicing. There was major sludge build up in the rocker and spring area as a mechanic showed us. It still had a ticking noise after the cleaning and other small repairs. My aunt asked me what else can she do to help. First we added a quart of 15w30 diesel oil, it help smooth out the engine but still had a tick and burning a bit less. Also did an motor flush to clean any remaining gunk. I knew about oil stabilizers but never tried it, I found 3 different brands on the market. I never heard about Hyper Lube but it was the cheapest on the shelf. Suggested my aunt to add it to the next oil change, we both watched the mechanic add 80% to the oil vor the oil change. Started the engine and drove away and I noticed the ticking noise was fading away within 5 mins. We were all amazed. I could not believe it. They said the engine felt like it had more pep and it felt smoother running. They are happy campers now, they were going to get rid of their 1996 Honda van but decided to keep it as oil burning a quart a month now.
