I bought these for my husband after he discovered he had 3 blood clots in his leg following an injury. So it was VERY important that the socks he used served their purpose. These are by far the best compression stockings we have come across. I've tried different types from different companies and the biggest problem was finding the right compression ratio. My husband has "male" feet, which means he has a size 11 foot with a very prominent calf muscle. Our disappointment was that we found socks that not only fitted his foot size, but also didn't painfully compress his calf muscles. Also, given the nature of his work at the hospital, it was important that we find socks that he could wear for 10-15 hours at a time. (If you sit or stand too much during the day, compression stockings are recommended.) It was a perfect find! You will find that even after washing/drying, they keep their original shape, do not cut off blood flow and do not hurt legs. The elasticity of the toes is also of very good quality. I think it would also be good for people who have a lot of water retention in their feet due to the stretchiness of the socks. 100% recommend to everyone!
