I had my doubts, read bad reviews but it worked great for us. Sometimes I think people here at Revain get different versions of the same list as if the supplier sent what they had or could get, hence the bad reviews. We had a pleasant experience, although I said I was proud of the bad one. It was huge! We couldn't have carried what we had without him. We packed four large bags of beach toys and shoulder bags, pillows and so on. Didn't manage to get a picture but there were tons! Kept like an animal! We got to 80. No rips or breaks, we tied the straps where they wouldn't flap against the SUV and loaded it zippered side back for added rain protection, but it didn't rain. I'd say if you have cross bars, take them off so they lay flat. There is a zip liner that is just the right size to fit in the zip, just keep an eye on it. I know my ride was shorter than some of the longer rides in the reviews, but I can use this amount for future rides by freeing up space on my 4runner.
