Product turned out to be exactly what it should have been. It wore out a little quicker than other basses, but that's the nature of this brand and product, not the seller. It's not easy to clean, but that's not what perches are designed for. If your bird poops on it (which doesn't usually happen unless he's into it oddly) then take it off and spray it with a high-pressure jet of water and you'll be back to normal.
