soft and warm - perfect for farm chores

This the only pair of gloves I wear all winter for daily farm chores! They are soft and warm, and the conversion from finger-less to mittens is perfect for switching between fiddly tasks and carrying hay or water without loosing all my warmth. This is my second pair of these gloves, and fourth pair of this style in general. Each pair lasts me about a winter and a half before the thumb starts wearing out, and I consider it totally worth it to buy a new pair every year or two. The measuring instructions for sizing worked well for me.I live in an area that routinely spends week or more stretches below freezing and I rarely get chilly - only if it's nearing 0F and I am out for a long time or get damp. The gloves are not waterproof so I wouldn't recommend them for tasks where your hands are submerged or you are grabbing wet things. They will eventually get wet if you are handling a lot of snow or ice, but are fine for me shoveling, carrying water, breaking ice, and brushing a little snow off of things. If they do get wet, they will dry quickly when placed near a heater or wood stove. With regards to touch screen use, it is super easy because they are convertible except that you can't use your thumb, if that matters to you. I prefer gloves with a closed thumb (rather than a little convertible thumb cover) because I always find my thumb popping out otherwise - so it was perfect for me!
